The Maharaja of Kapurthala celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of his accession on his 65 birthday, with all the pomp and ceremony of the east. Both Sikh and Hindu rites were observed at the celebrations, and there was an exchange of congratulatory telegrams between the Maharaja and the King-Emperor.
