Wales, United Kingdom. February 23 2017. Kern Bridges aged 22 from Penarth is a Photojournalism student at the university of South Wales in Cardiff. Kern was lucky enough to have in her possession a rare 2014 £2 coin depicting Lord Kitchener stating 'Your Country Needs You". Lord Kitchener was chosen to be the face of the 2014-commemerative coins to mark the 100-year anniversary of the First World War. This coin, due to a minting error, is now worth between £85 and £800 pounds! The error lies in the written that encircles the coin that reads "The lamps are going out all over Europe" has been stamped upside down making this coin one of the most valuable currently in circulation. Kern says, "I was looking online to see if any coins that I had collected were worth anything, the £2 coin really stood out against my 50p's. I was so shocked when I found out that it could be worth between £85-£800. I was in class when I found out and everyone around me was rushing to see the coin! I am also intrigued to find out exactly how much mine is worth" ©Rebecca Saunders - Freelance
