In the Grand Duchy of Finland the cooperative law came into effect on 01 September 1901. In the first decades the working class people were emotionally using their own cooperative grocerys. During the decades the processing and manufacturing plants were produring food and goods to be sold in the cooperative shops. This procedure was not healthy, no internal competition and working class cooperation decided to sell all factories. They decide to "Think globally and act locally". Purchasing food and goods globally and sell them locally and they reorganized their selling power in 1984. At the same time the capitalist's competitor decided to focus management in Helsinki and close all local offices. So it is quite easy to quess which one is doing better nowadays.
