Since Olympics 2012, Hampton Wick High Street has been closed to traffic due to the cycling races passing through. In order to capitalise on the closures, the locals of Hampton Wick have started putting on a yearly festival featuring artists, actors, community groups and live bands. There are currently 5 participating pubs involved. Hampton Wick is a historic village in Richmond Borough, close to Kingston Upon Thames' profitable shopping centre. Cardinal Wolsey's cottage is situated in 'The Wick'. This is a very desirable area to move into and real estate is extremely sought after due to having two Royal Parks on the doorstep, excellent schools and amenities.
