Onlookers stop to watch the Hampton Wick Festival 2013 and line the street. Hundreds of Hampton Wick villagers in costume turned up to take part in the festival. All the streets were closed due to the Ride London Cycle Race and pubs, hotels and shops took advantage of the event. Hampton Wick Baptist Church are represented at the Hampton Wick Festival 2013. This image is shot at the junction of Hampton Wick High Street and Lower Teddington Road at the Spur with the Swan, the oldest public house in Hampton Wick and close to Cardinal Wolsey's cottage. Hampton Wick is a historical town situated close to Bushy and Home Royal Parks in the Royal Borough of Richmond Upon Thames. It is a desirable place to live and benefits from excellent schools and amenities. Real estate and property are at a premium in this area. The locals are somewhat 'arty' and eccentric, spending a lot of time drinking in the five local pubs.
