The Willem Dock also known as Basin Guillaume is located in the North of Antwerp next to the Bonaparte Dock. It has a length of 378.10 meter and a width of 198 meter. It is 6 meters deep which is slightly more than the Bonaparte Dock. The Willem Dock was completed in 1813 when it came to be known as "le grand bassin". Just like the Bonaparte Dock (le petit basin) it was designed by Nicolas Mengin. In 1815 the King of the Netherlands gave it to the city of Antwerp. The Willem Dock is currently home to the Antwerp marina. The text on the front plaque : "William Dock" The text on the side plaque : "1803-1903"
