A glint of sun on the water, two fishermen dot the lake surrounded by gentle hills on which many trees thrive - it is owing to the generous rainfall of the region that the trees are so very happy - happier than the people anyway! The lake is happy and placid enough but not the faces of the people on Omegna's streets! Cloud cover makes it pleasant for the fishermen; the season is still relatively warm and there is a sense of joy surrounding those who would gain dinner from the fish who thrive in the lake. Somehow, this photo might have been taken in any millennium, not just on our hectic century but before the birth of Christ or any Egyptian emperor. Fishing is timeless, in a word as this is mirrored in the timeless wait for a fish to bite.
