On a photo safari, I hung a chance left onto a dirt road that ended at a home owner's large housing plot. Turning the Xterra around, I sighted a deer where none had been a short moment ago. I stopped and got out, but the deer had moved away. Turning back to the car, I spotted another deer where the first had been - they often appear in small herds of three to five individuals - but this was the beginning of a flood. Deer, including an impressive buck, began jumping over a four foot wire fence into a cross lane, and my camera began clicking. Unfortunately, leaping deer in motion are difficult to get in perfect focus, so I had to settle for uploading the best of the ones in motion, and the last reluctant deer, who idled for a spell as it considered whether to walk past me, but instead decided to leap the second fence to rejoin the group.
