Raimondo, Graf von Montecúccoli (21. Februar 1609 - 16. Oktober 1680) war ein italienischer militärischer Befehlshaber, die auch als General für die Habsburgermonarchie gedient. Als General teilte Montecuccoli mit Turenne und Condé den ersten Platz unter den europäischen Soldaten seiner Zeit. Für seine Erfolge in der türkische Vormarsch aufzuhalten hatte er den Retter Europas gefeiert. Er war mit seinem berühmten Zitat wohl auch einflussreiche als militärischer Theoretiker, "für Krieg braucht man drei Dinge: 1. Geld. (2) Geld. 3. Geld.
