Moderne hieroglyphischen Kunstwerke gemalt an der Wand des lokalen Wasteground im Dorf Gezirat auf der Westbank von Luxor, Nil Senke, Ägypten. Die Bilder zeigen die Schlacht von Kadesch um 1274 v. Chr. zwischen den Kräften des ägyptischen Reiches unter Ramses II und des hethitischen Reiches unter Muwatalli II der Stadt Kadesch am Fluss Orontes stattfand. Der Kampf ist die früheste Kampf in der aufgezeichneten Geschichte für die Details der Taktiken und Formationen bekannt sind.
