RF2J87N7K–Der griechischen Mythologie zufolge war Andromeda die Tochter der äthiopischen Herrscher Cepheus und Cassiopeia. Der gott des Meeres, Poseidon, war so verärgert, dass Cassiopeia behauptete, Andromeda sei schöner als die Meeresnymphen, die als die Nereiden bekannt sind, dass er ein Seeungeheuer befahl, Äthiopien zu verwüsten. Es würde nur beschwichtigt werden, wenn Andromeda ihm geopfert würde. Andromeda wurde dann ausgezogen und an einen Felsen gekettet (wie in dieser Abbildung von 1890s zu sehen).
