P. Morgan on 8/18/1915. The tapestry went under restoration & "making up border" on 9/28/1916. The border matches the 5 panels sold to French & Co. as a set by J. P. Morgan in 1916, & thus has been included as a part of the set, making it a suite of 6 tapestries. 4 of the 6 panels from this set were up at auction at Sotheby's (London), 12/12/01. The panels that were not included in the sale were "Flood & destruction of mankind" (stock no. 2994; GCPA: 0239139) & "God commands Noah to build ark" (stock no. 7023(d); GCPA: 0239134) (possibly dispsersed before the 2001 sale?).
