--FILE--Chinese customers go shopping at a supermarket of Walmart in Yichang city, central China's Hubei province, 20 January 2015. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is assigning a veteran employee to a newly created post in China, with the goal of improving the retailer's reputation after accounting, inventory and food-safety missteps. The executive, Maggie Sans, has been named senior vice president and chief corporate affairs officer in China, according to a memo sent by Bentonville, Arkansas-based Wal-Mart to employees. The move is an attempt to burnish Wal-Mart's image after struggling in the world's most populous nation. As part of the changes, Ray Bracy, current senior vice president of corporate affairs for Wal-Mart China, will return to the U.S. in the coming months. He will retire in January, according to the memo.
