China: Dinnerparty im Haus eines Mandarins. Stich von Thomas Allom, (13. März 1804 - 21. Oktober 1872) um 1843. Thomas Allom war ein englischer Architekt, Künstler und topographischer Illustrator. Er war Gründungsmitglied des Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Er entwarf viele Gebäude in London, darunter die Kirche St. Peter's und Teile des eleganten Ladbroke Estate in Notting Hill. Er arbeitete auch mit Sir Charles Barry an zahlreichen Projekten, vor allem an den Houses of Parliament, und ist auch bekannt für seine zahlreichen topographischen Werke.
