Weitere Informationen:
Strathcarron Station is on the scenic Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh line. The single track line has a passing loop for the up& down trains to pass. The unmanned station has a small waiting room on each platform, with an overhead bridge connecting the platforms. There is parking space close to the Strathcarron Hotel by the platform for trains to Inverness. There is also a disabled car park space adjacent to the platform for trains from Inverness accessed by a ramp. All trains stop at Strathcarron as it is change of sector for signalling, so the train cannot continue without fresh authorisation. The A890 crosses the tracks at the west end of the station on a level crossing with barriers and lights. The west bound train driver activates a plunger on the platform to initiate the closure of the crossing before he can leave the station.
