Weitere Informationen:
A man made waterfall or fountain which surrounds Anella Olimpica, better known as the Olympic Ring which is on Montjuic, a tourist hot spot atop a hill in Barcelona, accessed by walking up stairs or a cable car type train service called a Funicular. Looking through the other major stock libraries, there are very few pictures of this water based structure. At time of writing this seems certainly the ONLY one from this angle with such a unique depth of field. The unusual point of focus could have been edited in or "faked" using photoshop via [enter quick mask mode (Q) - gradient (radial type black to white or black to transparent) on desired point of focus - exit quick mask mode (Q) - filter - blur - lens blur]. It could also have been achieved with a lens that can tilt the focal plane (TS-E or tilt-shift for Canon, PC or perspective control for Nikon), or with a large format camera, or any camera with bellows between the lens and viewfinder. Even though this would still achieve a "line" of focus which would theoretically create a wedge shaped depth-of-field not perpendicular to the focal plane. Because the focus point happens to be in the top left of the image however, it could at least in theory be very similar in appearance. As it happens, this picture was taken with a Canon 5D mark II with a Lensbaby Classic attached, the very first type of Lensbaby to market. The camera was hand held, and it would have been tricky even on a tripod. Unlike newer models, the Classic Lensbaby does not lock into position. It must be manually held in position with the same hands that operate the camera. A very simple design of of one glass element with bellows between the camera body and piece of glass, and an effective focal length of 80mm. The depth of field is so shallow that it effectively appears circular. The glass creates spherical aberrations on the image corners, which enhances that effect.
