The New York, Westchester & Boston Railroad (which never actually made it to Boston) was a commuter line. They built their headquarters at their rail yard here in the Bronx just east of West Farms in 1912. It was designed by Alfred T. Fellheimer. The Westchester operated from 1912 until 1937. In 1941, the portion in the Bronx was incorporated into the IRT subway and now serves the 2 and 5 lines.
