Guy Motor Bus, Wolverhampton, 30 May 1925. A Guy motorbus owned by Wolverhampton Corporation's Transport Department (Wolverhampton's coat of arms can be clearly seen on the side). This one is no. '36', and travelled at a speed of 12 mph. Charles Owen Silvers (written on the side of the bus) was the General Manager of the Department from 1915 to his retirement in 1949. He was mainly responsible for changing the ''trackless tram'' to the modern trolleybus, so ensuring that Wolverhampton was at the forefront of trolleybus design.
