Just south of Kortrijk in Belgium, lies a small village called Walleweg. It is here that a house once fit for a Baroness now slowly decays. Not much is known about the stately home other than it was built in the 1920s and was a summer home for the aristocratic Viron family, hence the cryptic “nick-name” amongst the Urban Explorer community of Maison Viron. Shrouded in trees and set for away from the main road and up an overgrown track is the sinister looking house. No vandalism or graffiti, only natural decay which gives an eerie feel to a property that wouldn't look out of place in a horror film. According to various sites on the Internet the property was abandoned over 30 years ago by the Baroness who was then in her 80s in the mid 2000s. She went to live in a neighboring property again owned by her relatives, hence why the site is well and truly guarded from passersby.
