The parade, which lasted more than three hours, included bands from the Notting Hill Carnival, voluntary service personnel, children from the Chicken Shed Theatre Company, and a series of living rooms reflecting the five decades of her reign. After it finished the Royal family was expected to appear on the balcony and watch a flypast.
