Rhapsody of the Seas, sailing near the South Franklin dock, Juneau, Alaska. Royal Caribbean International’s Radiance of the Seas emerged from dry dock after a 21-day renovation. The work is part of the line’s $70 million Royal Advantage enhancement program that is making improvements to five ships this year. The renovation added to the ship new restaurants, entertainment, children’s programming and technology introduced on the line’s Oasis-class ships. This summer Radiance of the Seas sails alternating, seven-night southbound and northbound Alaska itineraries before repositioning for its first winter season to Australia and New Zealand. Among the additions is the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery designed for children, 6 to 36 months old. Also added were 12 new accommodations, including three single staterooms. Technology enhancements include Wi-Fi availability throughout the ship and flat-panel interactive televisions in all staterooms.
