ston Martin Cambridge has donated one of the ten limited edition cars, Red 10, to the RAF Benevolent Fund who will raffle it off with all funds going directly to the charity supporting RAF personnel past and present and their families. To honour the commitment of RAF personnel past and present, Aston Martin Cambridge has created a spectacular series of special Vanquish S project cars based on the Red Arrows Hawk jets. The project was inspired by a number of stories including that of former SAC Luke Wigman who was seriously injured in an IED explosion in Afghanistan in 2011 and after six years of service he was medically discharged from the RAF in 2013, facing the daunting prospect of finding a new career. Luke wanted to improve his driving skills and turned to the RAF Benevolent Fund to help him pay for an advanced driving qualification course. The qualification also helped Luke when he later went on to train as an Emergency Care Assistant for East Midlands Ambulance Service. . Aston Martin Cambridge has brought together two of the most iconic marquees in British history through the creation of ten ‘Vanquish S Red Arrows’ models as a unique tribute to the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, and to help raise funds for a Service charity. The Vanquish S Red Arrows is the result of collaboration between Q by Aston Martin, the Royal Air Force and Aston Martin Cambridge with approval from Ministry of Defence, resulting in one of the most exclusive Aston Martins ever built.
