The PS, French Socialist party, provides a forum for the most homophobic opponents to Gay Marriage and Equality. In the town hall of the fourth arrondissement in Paris, was held tonight at the invitation of the Mayor, Christophe Girard, a debate on the opening of civil marriage to same-sex couples. Among the guests of honor, he had to rely on was Christine Boutin, Jacquin Bishop and Father Dupont-Fauville. Thus, a Socialist made a tribune who gave three blessed asses, in a context of recent renewed violence and homophobic remarks in the media and in the streets. His argument is that we should take the time for debate, which is the weapon of the opposition to the opening of marriage, by delaying its passage. Incidentally, when the Socialist Party wants, at all costs, to pass a law, it does not have debate. Everyone remembers the vote of the European Treaty ago. The debate that he claims now, is inadmissible. Discriminatory public statements with respect to gay, bisexual, trans and those affected by HIV / AIDS- which causes a social withdrawal, low self-esteem, risk-taking on their health and thus an increase in HIV contaminations, as well as suicides. Christophe Girard, as mayor of a borough where one fag in five has HIV / AIDS, didn't not stop him from to taking these issues all too lightly. Act Up-Paris is invited to this illegitimate debate, demanding an end to the debate, and an immediate vote on the law. The Mayor, who like other politicians, is a glorified past actupienNE, who tried to discredit the activists present, by using the following arguments: 1) Act Up-Paris receives donations from the pharmaceutical industry 2) on a paternalistic and condescending, tone, he called the activists "you young people".
