In this photo : 1) Swissotel Krasniye Holmy (Red Hills), Moscow is situated in one of the most convenient sites in the city, on the eastern tip of Kremlin Island between the Moscow River and the Obvodnoy Channel. Less than three kilometers away from Swisshotel Krasniye Holmy Moscow is the Kremlin, the oldest part of the city with its multitude of palaces, armories, churches and medieval fortresses that link modern Russia to its legendary past. 2) The Moscow International Performance Arts Center was officially opened on September 28, 2003 with the debut of a new orchestra, the National Philharmonic of Russia under musical director Vladimir Spivakov. Also known as the Moscow International House of Music (Dom Muzyki), it is situated on the Kosmodamianskaya Embankment off the Garden Ring Road. The center cost US$200 million to construct, and was financed entirely by the City of Moscow. It was the first classical music hall constructed in the city in over a century. It is part of a business and hotel complex called Riverside Towers, intended by the City to be its equivalent of Lincoln Center. 3) The 27-storey Paveletsky Tower, 60, 000 sqm building has four underground levels, accommodating a restaurant and car parks. Construction of the tower was completed in March 2003.
