Bandstand in lalbagh Botanical Garden at Bangalore City of India was envisioned by Mr. William New, former British superintendent of Lalbagh and constructed between 1858 and 1864. In Ancient times Bandstand was the venue for flower shows, In addition, military bands conducted regular orchestras here and this is why this structure got the name Bandstand. It is a circular wooden structure and its artistic roof is supported by wooden pillars. A granite platform runs along its lower periphery and acts as a seat for visitors. Interestingly, this structure is also located exactly in the center of Lalbagh gardens.Lalbagh Botanical Garden is the Main Tourist Attraction in Bangalore City. Lalbagh houses India's largest collection of tropical plants. The Lalbagh garden was commissioned by Hyder Ali ( the ruler of Mysore) on 1760, and later finished by his son Tipu Sultan.
