Mineral water fountain, the work of Italian sculptor Stefano Valerio Pieroni, sited on Terrace Walk in Bath. This is a grade II listed structure which until 1989 stood on Stall Street adjacent to the King's and Queen's Baths. It was restored in 1977 having fallen into disuse earlier in the 20th century. Until 1890 the fountain was topped by a statue of king Bladud, a legendary, king of the Britons for whose existence there is no historical evidence. The present site of the fountain is known locally as Bog Island due to the presence of nearby underground public conveniences, which were closed before being modified and enjoying a period of life as a nightclub, 'The Island Club' in the 1980s.
