A n annual midsummer performance by Her Majesty's Massed Bands of the Royal Marines. This outdoor proms style concert took place at the bottom of the stone staircase outside the Royal Marine Museum, in Eastney, Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK. The weather was absolutely glorious and more than a thousand people came to watch, while they sat on the lawn and had picnics and sang along to the band. After the concert performance there was a marching band display on the green outside the Museum. The Royal Marines Museum at Eastney used to to be the main Barracks for the navy and marines. Most of the Barracks accommodation is now high end private housing, but the museum itself is open to the public all year round and has activities for all the family. www.royalmarinemuseum.co.uk
