Nogales, Sonora, Mexico - A 46-year-old man who had just been deported from the United States tells his story to Sister Maria Engracia Robles of the Missionary Sisters of the Eucharist. They are at the Assistance Center for Deported Migrants, which provides food, clothing, and other assistance for deportees. The man told Sister Maria that he had lived in Arizona since he was nine years old, that his parents were buried in Arizona, and that he had no relatives, living or dead, in Mexico. The Assistance Center is a project of the Kino Border Initiative, a binational Catholic ministry.
