The Kanyadaan , one of the most significant rituals in Hindu wedding ceremony. In this rituals, the father or elder relative of bride hand his daughter over to groom. The rituals begin with placing right hand of bride upon her groom in chanting of chanting of Vedic mantra by Priest (Hindu Brahman). This ritual is known as ‘Hastamelap’ (shake hand of hands of bride and groom) . Then, parents / elder relatives of bride and groom Pour water in hand with a shankh (Shell) one by one. A Shankaha is considered auspicious in any rituals of Hindu religion. According to Hindu religion, the shankha is sacred symbol of Lord Vishnu.
