Dating from 1870, the Falcon Works was started by William Henry Goss and was once a major pottery manufacturer in the city of Stoke on Trent. 1979 saw the two remaining Glost Kilns along with the other Victorian buildings became listed. In 2002 the neighboring pottery, Portmerion who owned the long closed site planned to create a working pottery museum but that idea was abandoned along with plans for part demolishing of the site. Subsequently, the Falcon Works were sold by Portmeirion to a company named Connexa in 2011 The buildings of the Falcon Works are now in an advanced decayed state and have suffered both arson and vandalism in recent times.
