The granary of Carnota, the symbol of Carnota was built in the eighteenth century, during the years 1768-1783. In the latter year their construction was finalized by adding 11 pairs of feet higher, possibly to rival that of Lira in those years was already under construction and quite possibly by the same architect. This work was fisterra baroque style by architect Gregory Quintela. The total length of the granary is impressive 34.74 m and a width of 1.90 m. It consists of 22 pairs of feet and communicates with the outside by three doors. Its covering is pitched. Another feature that represents it is their good preservation and its composition, consisting entirely of ashlar stone. In its corners rise two pinnacles with bollards and a cross.
