The most eastern surviving Christian monastery in the Wadi el-Natrun of Egypt is Dier Al Anba Bishoy (Pshoi, Bishoi), which was founded by St. Bishoy (Pshoi). The Monastery of Saint Bishoy is one of the original monasteries of Scetis. Its counterpart monastery is that of the Syrians, which was built in the sixth century by the followers of Severus or the Theodosian monks, when concepts concerning the nature of Christ forced a chrism between many monks in Egypt.
