These Hanging Chimes grace the entrance to the magical Wirikuta Garden. This photo was taken when the sky was a gradient blue, the wind was still and the sun was about 2 o’clock to the west. Each bamboo chime had lightly colour rings with hollow centers which appeared to almost look like bones of limbs. Many chimes had perfectly symmetrical centers and each chime hung at a different height on this man-made wind mobile. My visit occurred mid-week therefore the garden was very still except for the facilities’ dog, who followed me constantly through the hot and dry afternoon. He was a nice dog. According to puertoloscabos.com: The Wirikuta Garden is Home to over 1500 varieties of desert plants from around the world, the Wirikuta is a botanical desert garden designed to honor both the cactus in its many forms and the cultures and traditions of Mexico's Indigenous peoples. Home to more than 1, 000, 000 plants, including a labyrinth of 1000 bonsai bougainvilleas, the Wirikuta also includes three pyramids built from massive granite boulders. The sacred geometry of the design will impress as you wander through the acres of meticulously planted botanicals, learning about desert plants from around the world. As an event facility, the Wirikuta offers creative possibilities that will leave your guests dazzled by the magic. Enjoy Today!
