CWGC East Mudros military cemetery is situated next to the Greek civil cemetery on Anzac Str., within a few minutes distance in the East side of Moudros city, on Lemnos (limnos) island, Lesvos (Mytilene) prefecture, Greece. East Mudros military cemetery, contains 885 commonwealth burials of First World War, and one Second World War burial according to CWGC website. ANZAC Day revives annualy on 25 April, in Lemnos island, commemorating those who fought and died at Gallipoli Peninsula campaign, in the Ottoman Empire, during ww1 following Winston Churchill's plans. Anzac Street on Lemnos, took its name from the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps annual national day of remembrance.
