The Great Dorset Steam Fair is an annual event held in the August of each year at Blandford Forum, Dorset, England. The show gives a nostalgic view into what the way of life would have looked like in Britain at the turn of the century, when steam was in its heyday. One of the largest shows of its kind in the world which parades over 200 working steam engines and 100 showman’s steam engines, some generating light and power for fairground rides and side shows and in the evening presenting a magnificent illuminated display. Attractions also include steam powered threshing, ploughing, wood sawing, road rolling, vintage vehicles, organs, fairground attractions and a 15 acre site of trade stands.
