Europe Italy Piedmont Turin Mole Antonelliana By Night The Mole is the symbol of the city of Turin. Located in the historic center of Turin, near the district Vanchiglia, named after the architect who built it, Alessandro Antonelli. It reaches a height of 167 meters, so it is currently the highest building in Turin and has been for a long time the tallest brick structure in Europe. In the last century, however, major renovations have reinforced the drum with many concrete pillars, while the spire, following the collapse of the May 23, 1953, was reinforced with steel beams, so the Mole can no longer be considered a structure only masonry.
