Europe Italy Piedmont Turin Falletti di Barolo Palace living Honour Fresco Ceiling The palace is one of the most important examples of a noble residence in the city. The early work of transforming the building, for the family of Provana di Druent, dating back to 1648. Starting from 1692, designed by Francesco Baroncelli is made to the façade, the atrium and the grandiose staircase with scissors, which is given a prominent role in the architecture of the building. In 1743, on behalf of Falletti of Barolo, operations date back to Alfieri, regarding the decoration of the apartments and the staircase. Most of the rooms on the first floor are therefore characterized by rococo mirrors, used between the windows and flying parts. On the ground floor, as in some rooms of the main floor, however, the decorative fittings date from 1692-1694, commissioned by Ottavio Provana, Peter Somasso with stucco, frescoes and paintings by Francesco Trevisani of Legnani. In 1906 the building was deprived of part of the correction on the Court of Appeals, resulting in transportation and restoration of the decorations in other rooms.
