Monument for the Battle of Mentana, devoted to 150 fallen Garibaldi's freedom fighters, stands in Piazza Mentana square in Florence, Italy. It was sculpted by garibaldine sculptor Oreste Calzolari, and it was was inaugurated on April 27 1902. The dedication reads: "To the Brave who fell at Mentana, consecrating Rome to Free Italy".
