Cartoon on German arms restrictions. 'A caricature with the title 'Is this safety?' attempts to illustrate the absolute military inferiority of the German Empire. Tanks, guns and planes are oriented against Germany, the French soldier has negroid traits, which probably alludes to the colonial troops in France. The size of the soldiers depicted correlates with the strength of the troop of each country. The numbers mentioned are, however, not overdone. The image was originally published in a special issue entitled 'Volk und Wehr' (People and Defense) of the newspaper 'Die Woche'. Among the tanks used for the illustration, there are French Ft-17 (incorrectly with 2 tubes) and British Vickers Medium Mark I, which indicate the date, that is around the mid 20s.
