Laura Davey, 21, outside the court in Rennes, France, where she gave evidence in the trial of Francisco Arce Montes, the man accused of murdering her former classmate Caroline Dickinson at a youth hostel dormitory in the Breton village of Pleine-Fougeres in July 1996. Ms Davey fought back tears as she recalled the school trip in court, telling how she was sleeping in the room next door to Caroline on the night she died, and had seen a man loitering in front of the hostel on the day before Caroline's death. Caroline was found dead by fellow pupils of Launceston College when they awoke - the day before the 40-strong party of children and four teachers were due to return home.
