Weitere Informationen:
A five-arched bridge crossing the River Don at the northern boundary of the City of Aberdeen, the Bridge of Don was built in 1825 from the proceeds of a bequest made in 1605 by Sir Alexander Hay who left funds to maintain the Auld Brig o' Balgownie which stands close by. The River Don is a river in the northeast of Scotland. It rises in the Grampians and flows eastwards, through Aberdeenshire, to the North Sea at Aberdeen. The Don passes through Alford, Kemnay, Inverurie, Kintore, and Dyce. Its main tributary, the River Urie, joins at Inverurie.
