NOTE: THE BLOESEM RESTAURANT HAS BEEN CLOSED. - Bloesem is a fine dining restaurant at the edge of the Amsterdam Jordaan district. It's the inspiration for the fictional Restaurant Oranjee in the book The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Bloesem is less formal than the film version which was filmed in Pittsburg. There is no al fresco dining in the film like in the book. Bloesem too has no al fresco dining. It's not even on a canal. And they usually do not serve champagne. They do serve great food, the preferred menu is indeed the chef's choice of 3, 4 or 5 courses with a good wine pairing.It has a high ranking on the Dutch food lovers site www.iens.nl and a strong local following.
