Picture: Michael Matheson A new code for practice for Police Scotland on stop and search powers comes into effect this week. Justice Secretary Michael Matheson will meet police officers at Edinburgh’s St Leonard’s station tomorrow (May 10) for an embargoed photocall to launch the code. The code was developed with an expert group led by John Scott QC, received widespread public support during consultation and was unanimously approved by the Scottish Parliament. Mr Matheson will be available for photo opportunities and bids alongside police representatives.
