One of the larger chandeliers in the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The largest chandelier is 33 feet in diameter and 49 feet in height. The chandeliers in the mosque contain millions of Swarovski crystals. The mosque was designed by the Syrian Architect, Yousef Abdelky. The design brings in concepts from Persian, Mughal, Indo-Islamic and Alexandrian Mosque architecture. It was constructed from 1996 to 2007. Materials used include, Marble, Semi-precious stones for inlay work, Gold and Crystal. The carpet in the main prayer hall is considered to be the largest carpet in the world and was crafted in Iran.
