Can Jaumar Castle is a residential building in Cabrils (Maresme) that imitates a medieval castle. It was built in 1923 by Manuel Jaumar in the place where the old Can Rafart farmhouse, of medieval origin, had been. The building is in a historicist style and incorporates a collection of elements typical of palaces such as towers with battlements, machicolations, double-lobed windows and heraldic shields. [2] Manuel Jaumar y de Bofarull was captain and lawyer for the military audit who came from a Catalan lineage and was a deputy in the 1940s, and a councilor for the Barcelona City Council in the 1950s, specifically Deputy Mayor. His brother, Francisco, was mayor of Barcelona in 1935.
