Taiwanese pop girl group S.H.E member Selina Jen announced her divorce from lawyer Richard Chang on Friday (4 March 2016) night. The 34-year-old singer wrote a long post on Facebook, saying a marriage requires the effort of two, and in the former couple's case the two "have not done enough." Selina admitted she failed to fulfill the role of wife, as she continued to focus on her career even after marriage. She also explained there has been "a big change" in her life perspective before and after marriage, and the love between Richard and her "started to fade." In response, Richard wrote on his Facebook, "in this broken marriage, I lost a wife but gained a sister who is closer to me than my own sister." The news surprised fans, as Richard has been regarded as Selina's pillar of support during her toughest times in life. Selina suffered third-degree burns on over 54 percent of her body while filming a TV drama in 2010 and Richard accompanied her throughout the recovery journey. The couple tied the knot in 2011. Selina Jen gained fame as a member of top Taiwan girl group S.H.E, with 12 albums and sales totaling well over 15 million records.
