San Adrián tunnel or Lizarrate pass San Adriango tunela Sandratiko tunela on the Aizkorri mountain range at the Basque Country, Goierri, Basque Highlands Basque Country, Euskadi Spain. It is a natural cave 55 meters long and located at 1000 meters above sea level that, like a tunnel, allows you to cross the rocky ridge of the Basque Mountains on the border between the Basque provinces of Guipúzcoa and Álava. Due to this fact, it has been one of the main communication routes between Guipúzcoa and Álava and a reference point of an important communication route between the Iberian Peninsula and Europe. In 2015, in the approval by UNESCO of the extension of the Way of St james Camino de Santiago in Spain to "Caminos de Santiago de Compostela: French Camino and Caminos del Norte de España", the San Adrián tunnel and causeway were included as one of the individual goods of the interior road.
