Little Moreton Hall, near Congleton, Cheshire, c1955-c1980. Exterior view of Little Moreton Hall taken from the south-west. At the far right side is the three-storeyed gabled porch that reaches the single-span ashlar bridge that crosses the moat. To the left of the porch is a garderobe tower of two storeys, and to the left again a double-jettied long section of two storeys. The roof reaches the bottom of the window sill of the gallery behind, which has 32 windows separated into sections of seven. The western end of this southern front is visble, and consists of three-storeys, of which all are jettied, and a gable. The house was built between the early 15th to 16th centuries in seven stages, and presented as a range of buildings around an interior courtyard and is surrounded by a moat. The property is now owned by the National Trust.
