However, it is less appreciated that the UK is the world leader in daffodil production. Lincolnshire and Cornwall are the two most prominent daffodil growing regions in Britain, but daffodils are also grown in Scotland and Hampshire. Bulbs from Britain are exported to many countries around the world, with the Netherlands, the United States and Germany being the three biggest customers. More than 4, 500 hectares of bulbs and bulb flowers, with an approximate value of £30m, were grown in Britain in 2002.
