Captured by Ron Niebrugge. Alaska: THESE BEAUTIFUL images show a brown bear exploring a field of bright purple flowers, lounging in the field. One image shows the bear sniffing at the wildflowers, enjoying their scent. Brown bears, also known as grizzly bears, have a life span of 30 years and can run up to 35 miles per hour. These images were captured by professional photographer Ron Niebrugge (58) in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska using an Olympus OM-1 camera. ?I have tried many times over the years to capture bears in the middle of a field of lupine wildflowers with limited success. It seems the bears prefer to skirt around the flowers, ? said Ron. ?On this day the bear activity was a bit slow so we went to the field of flowers to do some macro photography. ?Wouldn?t you know it, we were there just a short period of time and two young brown bears showed up and walked right through the field of flowers. I photographed like mad. ?I love bears, but whenever you can photograph them in such a beautiful landscape, I think it makes there photos stand out. ?The flowers are beautiful without the bears, the brown bears are a bonus. ?it is such a satisfying feeling to have witnessed such an amazing event.? mediadrumimages/RonNiebrugge
